About SAIL
Silverleaf Swim Team is a neighborhood summer swim team in Greer, SC for Silverleaf kids ages 4-18 years. Our mascot is the Swordfish and our SAIL abbreviation is SLF. We are a member of the Greenville County Swim Association Invitational League (SAIL), one of the biggest recreational swim leagues in the Southeast. SAIL has been a tradition for generations of Greenville County families.
SAIL includes more than 30 neighborhood swim teams and over 5,000 swimmers. Each year, the teams are divided into 6 Divisions - Red, Purple, White, Blue, Green, and Gold - based on Divisional meet swim results from the previous year.
The SAIL season runs approximately 10-weeks, from mid-May to mid July. There are five regular season meets (know as "dual meets") on Thursday nights and one Divisional swim meet where all teams in the Division come together. On the weekend following the Divisional Meet, the top 40 swimmers from all SAIL teams, in each event and age group, will meet at a Championships and Classics Swim Meet at the Westside Aquatics Center in Greenville, SC.
